Detailed Narrative Description of project:

Consultancy Services for Detailed Engineering Design of the Itojo-Sempaya Road, a link on the Fort Portal-Bundibugyo Road which avoids the second mountainous hair pins.

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your company:

(i) Review the desk study report prepared by M/S TYPSA in July 2007 to obtain further information on the major features located along the possible alternative route.
(ii) Carrying out the necessary field surveys in order to establish the road alignment and to determine the accurate centreline; and
(iii) Preparation of a detailed engineering design of a Class II bitumen road as well as an estimate of quantities, plans and drawings suitable for international competitive bidding. This design on approval was incorporated into the main design of the Fort Portal-Bundibugyo-Lamia road design prepared by M/S TYPSA and PROME Consultants.
